Taahira Ayoob
My name is Taahira. I also go by the cheeky moniker Treehira, which is an imagined extension of myself as a tree who endeavours to share roots, light and space with others. My desire to build a fair, regenerative future stems from my curiosity about what we eat, practise our cultures and interact with the world around us.
In the last 10 years, I’ve worked with local communities in Pakistan, Colombia, Spain, Rwanda, Georgia, and Sri Lanka on multimedia and tourism projects to amplify stories of local narratives. From writing about local artisans, challenging mainstream media narratives through interactive documentaries, to co-creating tourism products in rural villages, my work and beliefs are centered on building bridges and fostering deeper understanding of local cultures and communities.
