Are you interested in where participatory video could take your work?

Whether you’re totally new to participatory media or are looking to develop your skills, we run online and in-person training courses to cater to different levels and needs.

InsightShare is a renowned leader in the participatory video field, offering valuable expertise and supporting individuals and organisations worldwide to strengthen the agency of those with lived experience to work together to find local solutions. We are dedicated to sharing the methods, knowledge, skills and insights we gain through our work with communities around the world to use video as a powerful tool for self-expression, storytelling, and social change.

By learning from InsightShare, individuals and organisations gain access to best practices, creative communication techniques, and skills to drive meaningful social change, making participatory video an essential skill for community development, advocacy, and engagement. This is our 24th Anniversary training activists, researchers, civil society organisations, international development agencies, humanitarian workers and independent consultants globally.

Participatory video is a powerful tool to enable the self-representation of people from different backgrounds. As a UK-based organisation, it is crucial for us to deliver the work we do in other languages apart from English and advocate for using mother tongues across all our projects. Last year alone, we trained more than 200 facilitators based in 48 countries, supporting people of different age sets involved in multiple spheres and fields of work to create videos in 19 languages. Embracing and honouring the diversity of languages spoken by the people we work with is a celebration of all living cultures. It recognises the traditional and ecological knowledge transmitted from one generation to another in our transition to a fair and just world which acknowledges and heals past wrongs.

This is only possible with our fantastic global network of Associates: click here to meet our team (and your potential future trainer!).
